Monster High Party Decor
Decorating for your Monster High party is tons of fun because there are so many edgy and cool ways to glam up the celebration.
As the monsters arrive, greet them at the front door with a “School Registration” table, decorated with our Monster High Paper Table Cover and the Monster High Swirl Decorations above. Make the school emblem out of poster board and write “School Registration” on it.
In the main party room, begin setting the scene by putting a layer of black tulle fabric over the windows to add a little creepiness to the lighting. Blow up lots of black, hot pink, and blue helium balloons, tie them with gold ribbon, and let them float to the ceiling, with the ribbons hanging down over the party. On one wall, hang our Monster High Wall Decorating Kit, which features the posse of monsters and says, “me and my ghouls,” making it a perfect photo backdrop.
Cover each table with a piece of fabric to fit the theme. For example, use a piece of black lace, black and white stripes, hot pink, and argyle blue. In the center of each table, make flower arrangements featuring hot pink and black roses and black tea light candles.
Above the food table, create a fangtastic sign that says, “Creepateria.” Decorate the food table with a Monster High Table Cover and use black milk glass serving ware for an edgy effect.
Monster High Party Food
Keep your monsters fueled with some tasty treats. For the main course, make a ghoulish pizza topped to look like a Frankenstein face. Cleverly place pepperoni, green and red peppers, olives, and onions to make Franeknstein’s eyes, nose, mouth, scars, and hair. Use pesto as the sauce to give him a greenish tint.
Also arrange cucumbers, peppers, radishes, carrots, celery, and any other veggies you want on a tray in a monster shape. Even veggies are much more appetizing when arranged in a deliciously frightening way.
For dessert, make a coffin-shaped cake and ice it black with pink trim. Make skull cake pops and skull-shaped sugar cookies for more sweet treats. Also set out a candy bar featuring all black and pink candies. Put the candies in clear apothecary jars and use skeleton hand serving spoons for the scoops.
To drink, make pink strawberry smoothies and crumble “dirt” (crushed Oreo cookies) on top!
Monster High Activities
Kick off the party as the monsters enter the front door with a Monster High School registration. Make each party-goer a Monster High student ID card and give them a bag of “school supplies” that they’ll need. Include in the bag a composition notebook, a Monster High Dry Erase Board, a Monster High Notepad, a Monster High Pen, Monster High Pencils, a Monster High Bookmark, and the Monster High Stationery Set.
Once all of the party-goers have arrived, it’s time for “class.” Quiz the guests to see how well they know the Monsters. Here are a couple facts about the Monsters featured on our party theme:
