Full of whimsy and style, our Princess and the Frog party supplies feature blue, purple, pink, and green, as well as pretty illustrations of Tiana and her Frog Prince.
There are so many fun and unique ways to throw a Princess and the Frog birthday party, so we rounded up 10 of our favorite ideas to share with you today!
1. Bayou Decor via Hostess with the Mostess
In the movie, Tiana and her prince escape to a bayou, which this hostess channeled in her party decor by incorporating natural touches like faux moss, lily pads, and wood stumps. The theatrical release poster for The Princess and the Frog shows a bayou scene, so try to snag one for your party decor!
2. New Orleans Decor via Simply Panache
Another idea for party decor is to channel 1920s New Orleans, which is when and where The Princess and the Frog takes place. Think old-fashioned Mardi Gras with green and purple, masks, and peacock feathers. This hostess used the New Orleans idea with the food, too, serving gator fingers (creole chicken strips), French bread, and zydeco pasta.
3. Beignets Recipe via Buns in My Oven
Speaking of New Orleans Creole foods, beignets are a must! Tiana makes them in the movie, so channel your inner baker and make them for your party. Follow the Buns in My Oven recipe for a simple and delicious treat that your party-goers will love.
4. Frog Desserts via Sweet Designs
For lots of frog-inspired sweets, check out Sweet Designs. Her frog treats include cupcakes, macarons, cookies, cake pops, and more. Bake them yourself, or send this to your baker for inspiration.
5. Frog Cupcake Tutorial via Disney Family
If you’re baking your own sweets, check out this tutorial, which explains exactly how to make the frog cupcake pictured above! Some candy and creativity are all you need.
6. Make your Own Cookie Mix via Beth Kruse
Because Tiana loves to bake, this hostess threw a Princess and the Frog baking party. Each guest got a jar filled with basic cookie ingredients and then was able to add his or her own special goodies to the mix. Include chocolate chips, nuts, m&ms, and chocolate raisins for the DIY cookie mix jars.
7. Pin the Kiss on the Frog via Baby Bump and Beyond
We have a fun Give Tiana Her Frog game, or you could make your own version by printing a frog prince and lips. Blindfold each guest, give them a spin, and see who can get the lips closest to the frog’s mouth.
8. Princess and the Frog Dress-Up via Loralee Lewis Blog
For great photo opportunities, set up a princess dress-up station. This hostess had gorgeous dress-up options for her guests, but you could go simple with our Princess and the Frog Dress-up Set and Tiaras.
9. Frog Prince Pinata via Mud Hut Mama
This hostess used this tutorial to make the fun frog pinata above. Fill it with candy and our Princess and the Frog Tattoos for a fun surprise when the pinata breaks! Put a stick in an orange blowout to make the tongue, and use a toilet paper tube for the crown!
10. Princess and the Frog Outdoor Movie Night via Laura Veno Photography
A viewing of The Princess and the Frog is a must! This hostess set up an outdoor “drive in” for the party-goers. To do this, project the movie onto a screen or white sheet and gather everyone around it on lawn chairs and blankets. Don’t forget the popcorn!
